Happiness
is...
a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.
The Sweetest of All Breeds
The Cavalier
King Charles Spaniel has been the companion of kings for
centuries. They are active, playful and live
to please. Cavaliers are an absolute delight. They display a
happy spirit with an almost
constantly wagging tail.
The Cavalier
King Charles
Spaniel is a wonderful companion dog in
the toy group. Cavaliers are beautiful, fun loving, hearty,
sporting and great with children.
The Cavalier is a highly intelligent and
good natured little
dog. The famously happy, friendly, non-aggressive Cavalier temperament is an integral part of the breed standard. They average 12-18 pounds and 12-13 inches high. Their personality has been compared to the Golden Retriever; loving, devoted, quick to learn and eager to
please. Cavaliers travel well and are a perfect companion.
Cavaliers adapt well to both active
and sedentary lifestyles.
While some Cavalier
owners think of their dogs as furry
children, we think that Cavaliers are the most perfect little companion dog ever created.
Their canine nature must always be respected, but the
Cavalier will live to be near you. If you are the nurturing
type who needs good company and a
little nurturing yourself,
a Cavalier will be a very
rewarding experience.Cavaliers
are so much more than a pretty
package. They
love children and other pets and are
not cross or snappy. They make good watchdogs (not
guarddogs), as they will
bark to
alert, but do not keep on yapping like many smaller breeds are known to
do.
They are
smart, fun and even sweeter than they look. They bring joy
and laughter to many households. They love to snuggle and
are the
ultimate huggable lapdog. They are NOT an independent breed and they do
require companionship. They should never
be left outside in
kennels and
must be treated as a family member. They prefer to sleep in or near
their
master's bed and be by
his side most of the time. They
require no professional grooming and have a soft,
lustrous odor-free coat. They do shed, but not
excessively.
They
housebreak quite easily and are very clean natured, making them the
perfect housepet.
As with all toy breeds,
the Cavalier 'comforter spaniel' is a companion
animal. They require an owner who is available to
them most of the time.
If you are able
to meet this need and
are
looking for an indoor lap dog you may have found just the right breed
for you. A
relationship with a Cavalier will exceed your expectations.
Cavaliers are not for everyone. If you are
ready to make
a commitment and provide a lifetime of responsible pet
ownership a
Cavalier will reward you in sweet and surprising ways. A Cavalier will treat you like royalty. They deserve nothing less than the best in return.
